Current Art Residency

Ocean VII Artist Residency, 2026

During the Ocean VII Artist Residency with Moku Art Studio, I developed Interconnectedness: Conversations Between Oceans, a four-panel mixed-media body of work exploring ocean, land, ancestral memory, forced migration, survival, and what we carry forward. Working aboard my boat, Ruby, at the Berkeley Marina, I experimented with natural plant dyes, earth pigments, cyanotype, fiber, paper, stitching, and found materials. The residency became both an artistic and personal inquiry into what the ocean remembers and how those memories continue to live within descendants.
