About Me

My work explores the relationship between memory, material, and belonging. Through cyanotype, collage, handmade botanical pigments, printmaking, painting and reclaimed photographs, I create mixed media works that honor overlooked histories and imagine new possibilities for remembrance, repair, and liberation.

Rather than treating materials as passive tools, I approach them as collaborators. Sunlight, plants, found papers, weathered wood, natural pigments, and forgotten photographs each carry their own histories. My practice is one of gathering, experimentation, and careful listening, allowing these materials to shape the stories they become.

As a late-life artist after decades devoted to community organizing and leadership development, I am embracing a season of curiosity, making, and continual learning. I am particularly interested in expanding my practice through large-scale works on paper, wood, and fiber while exploring the expressive possibilities of nature-based processes.
